Nutmeg Expands into Fairfield County with Plans to Open a Fourth DMV Express Location

If you’re an avid reader of my blog, you would recall my mention of another new branch coming soon. With that, I am pleased to officially announce that Nutmeg will be opening yet another retail location, this time in Norwalk, Connecticut. This location will be our fourth location in partnership with the Department of Motor Vehicles, thus upholding our mission to revolutionize the banking industry with technology while also providing an exceptional member experience.

We are one short month away from opening our doors at 500 West Ave in Norwalk! We have tentatively scheduled the soft opening for our Norwalk location on Monday March 1st, followed by the grand opening to the public on Monday March 15th. We will be sure to communicate any date changes. Please note that our Norwalk appointment scheduler launches March 8th.

Our partnership with the DMV continues to exceed expectations to serve our community through our express locations that offers the utmost convenience to customers across the state. We are elated to extend our services into Fairfield County. Below is a list of the specific DMV Express services that our Norwalk location will include.

DMV EXPRESS SERVICES:

  • License renewals (special endorsements unavailable at these locations)
  • License replacements
  • Name changes
  • Address changes
  • Get a copy of driver's history

We have a brand new mobile platform, myNutmeg, rolling out next month as well, so stay tuned for updates on that! “myNutmeg” will give our members complete control over their banking through self-service options, such as Mobile Deposit Capture, the ability to transfer to another member, and Multi-Factor Authentication for adding New External Accounts.
