e-Pay Upgrade Coming Soon – November 5 & 6 We will soon be upgrading e-Pay, our online bill pay service. This upgrade will not only have an updated look and be easier to use, it will also include several new features designed to improve the user experience. Updates include:
  • More flexibility with scheduling payments
  • The option to pay a bill faster
  • Ability to modify automatic payments easier
  • New and improved customized alerts
  • Enhanced member support system
Below is a sample of the updated site. ePay image 2The upgrade will take place on November 5, 2014. At 8 a.m. on November 5, 2014 our current e-Pay system will be deactivated and will not be reactivated until 5 p.m. on November 6, 2014. During that time if you click on the e-Pay button within e-Banking, you will get an error message that the system is unavailable. All of your current bill payees that have been set up will automatically transfer to the new system. Any scheduled payments that were set up before the upgrade will still occur, but from November 5, 2014 - November 12, 2014, you will be unable to view payment history. Please note: Even though your history won't show up, all scheduled payments will still be made. We hope the new e-Pay system provides added convenience and an improved experience. Important Information about the Target Security Breach Target has notified the public of a credit and debit card data breach across the United States. The breach occurred between November 27, 2013 and December 15, 2013 for purchases made inside Target stores. If you shopped Target online, you will not be affected. If you used your Nutmeg credit or debit card between the dates listed, you may have been affected. Please monitor your account closely. If you see any unusual or unauthorized activity on our account, notify us immediately. Contact us at 1.800.526.6933 or 860.513.5000. The credit union has multiple systems in place to monitor fraudulent activity, but we encourage you to closely monitor your accounts if you shopped at Target during these dates. We also have an Identity Theft Recovery Program in place for members in the event that identity theft occurs. Members who are protected by this program receive a personal Recovery Advocate. The Recovery Advocate assigned to your case will:
  • provide a customized recovery plan within 72 hours
  • alert the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion)
  • work with all necessary government and law enforcement agencies
  • complete all forms and follow-up on your behalf
